  2. SCHEDULE & SELECT MATERIALS

    Schedule & Select Materials

Once we're aligned on the scope and quote, we schedule around you — and the weather. A typical residential roof runs 3–5 working days from tear-off to clean-up, so you'll have a clear timeline from day one.

Then comes the fun part: choosing your shingles. We'll bring samples to your house so you can see colors in your own light. Want to see the full collection? We'll meet you at the shingle yard. This is a long-term investment you'll see every day, and we take the time to help you land on the right choice.

  1. DAY 1

    Day 1: Tear Off

On start day, our crew arrives with a dump truck or container — staged as close to the roof as possible, usually your driveway. We strip the old roofing material completely. Tear-off typically takes one full day, and we sweep the deck and pull every old nail before we're done.

Once the deck is clean, we install a roofing felt paper matched to your new roof's material. It keeps moisture out during installation and acts as a humidity barrier for your attic — an important layer that protects your investment before a single shingle goes on.

  2. DAY 2

    Day 2: Materials Arrive

Our supplier delivers your shingles and stages them on the roof deck — ready for the install crew. Delivery usually wraps in a couple of hours, and as soon as the materials are loaded, the delivery vehicle is out of your driveway. You've got your space back while we get to work.

  1. DAYS 3–4

Days 3–4: Installation of New Roof

Our in-house crew — never subcontractors — installs your new roof over roughly two days, weather permitting. We'll need access to 1–2 electrical outlets for the air compressor and saw. If you have a back yard, we'll need brief access at the end of each day for cleanup; just give us a heads-up if you have dogs so we can plan accordingly.

  2. CLEAN UP

    Clean Up

Once installation is complete, we clean up thoroughly — top of the roof to the ground. We sweep the yard, collect every stray nail, and haul everything away. Our goal: leave your property cleaner than we found it.

  3. INSPECTION

    Inspection

You're the boss — we walk the job with you and don't consider it done until you're satisfied. Once you approve the work, we issue your invoice within 30 days. What you're left with: a solid new roof, a clean property, and the confidence that comes from working with people who stand behind what they build.

We've built this business on trust and honest education — not high-pressure sales. Every Mountain View Roofing estimate is free and includes a full professional roof analysis. You'll understand your roof's current lifespan, which materials make sense for your home, and exactly what we'd recommend and why. Ready to see the process in person?
